The Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) has resumed its critical work on Mpox literature screening and data extraction, initially launched in 2022. This resource systematically screens Mpox literature and provides regular updates, offering a valuable tool for keeping pace with the latest research and enhancing technical outputs.
Although this initiative was paused in April 2024 due to the global decline in Mpox cases, it has now been revived under the leadership of PHAC experts Lisa Waddell and Kusala Pussegoda to further support the global Mpox response. The output of this work is openly accessible and available for use by all interested parties.
The resource is organized into several online sheets, and literature screening will occur weekly on Tuesdays, with updated citations made available each Wednesday. Furthermore, publications from April 2024 to the present will be retrospectively included.
This renewed effort provides substantial benefits to the broader public health community, reflecting ongoing dedication to global collaboration in Mpox response efforts. Access the collection below, and check back every Wednesday for updates.
